Diablo Valley College Performing Arts Center

Please prepare up to 32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song.

Songs should highlight personality and voice.

Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.

All auditionees will be taught a short dance combination. Arrive prepared to dance. Dress comfortably in something you can move in that shows the line of your body (i.e. no baggy pants, oversized sweaters or tees). Bring dance or tennis shoes.

Expect to stay 1 hour to complete your vocal and dance audition.


We will be holding an audition workshop Sunday, March 18 from 2 to 4 pm. Audition technique and a sneak peak of the dance audition. $10/actor. Come prepared to dance. Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde the Musical – music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin and book by Heather Hach. The story is based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name. Synopsis: Elle Woods appears to have it all; however, her life is turned upside-down, when her boyfriend dumps her so he can start getting serious about his life and attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle uses her charm to get into Harvard Law. At school, she struggles with peers, professors, and Warner Huntington. With the help of Paulette and Emmett, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
